In May, we also have our annual KVWK Fish n Chip Run to Tankerton. This is our most popular event each year. Remember every member gets free fish n chips. Its a fantastic family day and the cruise down to Tankerton is a great experience with all types of VW vehicles.

Thank you to everyone who attended the KVWK AGM.
We would like to congratulate the new Chairman and thank the previous Chairman for his 3 year stint. Another fantastic year with club events and pop ups. A big thank you to the committee last year and everyone who stepped up to organise events trhoughout the year.
Quiet season now and once the 1st January appears it’s time for members to start paying their subscriptions for the year. This is still held at £20. From 1st February if all the club spaces are not taken then new members can apply to join.

The club this year has attended many VW Festivals and pop up events. Our annual Club BBQ was another success having a weekend of camping, family sports day and Show N Shine. Just left in our events calendar a few are going along to Oh So Retro which is next week.

Sorry we haven’t had any updates for awhile.
The club is still going strong and we are still regularly meeting up. This yea,r we have been having meets at different venues. The members took a vote at the beginning of the year to try some new venues, so it gave a chance to others who have to travel to get along to some of the meets.
Our next meet will be Thursday 6th June at Newnham Court Inn, Bearsted Rd, Weavering, Maidstone ME14 5LH at 7.30pm.
This year so far the club have enjoyed VW TOMIE Festival in Orsett, Essex and some of the club have just recently been to RTTS, Newquay. We recently held our own KVWK Fish N Chip Run to Tankerton Slopes where club members enjoyed Fish N Chips along the slopes with their families.
Anyone wishing to join we have few spaces available and membership cost is £20 per year (Jan – Dec) with all renewals due January the following year.

The club has attended this year shows of VW Tomie, Camper Marmalade, Volks Weald and Blue Reef Festival. Sad that a few shows this year are now non running or not on this year.
Our Fish N Chip run in May on Tankerton Slopes was another success for the club.

We had a fantastic photoshoot yestersday at The Old Rectory, Leybourne at our club meeting place. The photoshoot was the first of our celebrations for our 30th Anniversary. Thanking members for coming along and enjoying getting together after for lunch at The Old Rectory.
Members will be looking forward to our first VW festival this weekend. VW Tomie takes place at the Orsett Showground in Essex.

Just to let everyone know the club is still running for 2021. Last year as everyone is aware it was very quiet due to following COVID Government Guidelines.
We are hoping this year to start planning our own KVWK events and any VW events that decide to go ahead will be joining their regular venues.

Unfortunately not a very productive 2020 for our members. But our Private FB page is there for our members during this time for help with sourcing parts and general knowledge helping each other out with their vehicles.
We have had a few virtual meet ups for members and hopefully can hold small get togethers soon at outside green areas.
Most VW shows and events for this year have been cancelled, but look on the positive they have been rolled over to next year. So I bet of a few of you have quite a few things to look forward to in 2021.

Happy New Year to all our followers and members. Our first meeting was on Thursday 3rd and we had a good turn out. It was lovely to see all the members after the festive season. The members are now all gearing up for a KVWK New Years Cruise this weekend. Details are on the Private Members page.

A committee meeting was held yesterday to start planning for the forthcoming year. Dates are already being pencilled in for next season. All to be posted in the New Year for members to put in their calendars.
Robin resigned the day after the meeting so position of Show Co-Ordinator is now available for 2019.

KVWK held their AGM yesterday and it was chance to elect the club officers for next year. It was great that so many turned out. A new Committee were elected which were a few familiar faces.
Congratulations to them all. They are all looking forward to the forthcoming year.

The Kentish V-Dub Klub had its annual BBQ this month and some members camped out. It was a fantastic weekend and lots of the members commented what a fabulous location. Darren and Karen did a great job getting this new venue. Special thanks for the man of the day Marco who worked continuously from the time he arrived on the Saturday til late afternoon Sunday with his slow cooked pulled pork. Definitely the Hero of the Day. Plus a big thank you to everyone else who made the day special.
We hope all the new members enjoyed their first Festival together at TOMIE with the club. Now looking forward to QUEX.

Big thanks to Lee Grover who organised the KVWK Quiz Night on 11th November held at Chatham Town FC club bar. Photos added to the gallery. It was great to see so many members coming along and Lee did a fantastic job as quiz master.
Another fantastic night of the year that everyone looks forward to is the annual KVWK Christmas Party. Held again at The Moat in Wrotham. Big thank you to Stuart Doswell for organising this festive night out. And we have to mention Lee again who organised the big raffle and auction with so many great prizes donated from club members and shows for ticket entrances.
We would also like to thank all the committee members of 2017 who during the year also did their part for the club, doing all their duties to make this such a successful club. This is of course all done in their free time. Big applaud to them !!!!

Great number of the club members attended recently Busfest, Grill and Chill. The club has had a fantastic year with lots of new members and lots of adventures together. I am sure everyone in the club are looking forward to 2018.
Fear not the year is not over and another date for the diary is the KVWK Christmas Party. Tickets are £30 a person which includes a 3 course meal and DJ til midnight. If you wish to attend this club members must visit the KVWK fb page for details and get your name down ASAP.

The club attended Elemental VW #11 Show at Crouch Valley Showground, Rayleigh, Essex over the weekend of April 8th. It was a great first weekend festival to start the year and what fab weather we had. Many thanks for the organisers. Thanks to our members to for a really enjoyable weekend.

KVWK members and families descended on Chatham Ski and Snowboard Centre yesterday evening for a more active social meet, rather than the usual Newnham Court Inn gathering.
It was great to get the families and kids together for a entertaining evening. I hope no one has any aches and pains today!!
We would like to give a big thank you to Chatham Ski & Snowboard Centre for a great evening of Skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing. And a special thank you to James Tank for organising us.
Great fun for all plus a few of our members who attended that evening received their free 25th year Kentish V-Dub Klub can Koozie. Don’t worry they will be available at the next meet. If you require any extras they are £1.50. Remember they are limited edition 25 year anniversary.

AGM Meeting was held and the committe elected for 2017 is as follows. It was agreed that club membership should rise from £10 to £15 for 2017 majority vote.for carried.
