Update to website made.
The Kentish V-Dub Klub had its annual BBQ this month and some members camped out. It was a fantastic weekend and lots of the members commented what a fabulous location. Darren and Karen did a great job getting this new venue. Special thanks for the man of the day Marco who worked continuously from the time he arrived on the Saturday til late afternoon Sunday with his slow cooked pulled pork. Definitely the Hero of the Day. Plus a big thank you to everyone else who made the day special.
We hope all the new members enjoyed their first Festival together at TOMIE with the club. Now looking forward to QUEX.

The club can no longer take on any more new members until next February 2019. Yet again the club has had a successful membership for 2018. We do hope all the new members enjoy being part of our v-dub family.

KVWK members had a great time at our special event meet this month at Chatham Ski & Snowboard Centre. Where members had to the opportunity to try skiing, snowboarding and on the toboggan ride. We would like to thank them for a great evening. Next KVWK members meet is on 3rd May at Newnham Court Inn – See our Events page.
TOMIE is fast approaching us on 4th May. Please see details on the KVWK members facebook page for information regarding this event.
Next event is our Annual KVWK Fish and Chip Run this month. Please see the club members facebook for details regarding this. Members only event.
Club Members are just back from the first club camp of the year at Elemental VW Show, Rayleigh, Essex where they had a fantastic time and it was nice to see a few new members at their first club camp.

Unfortunately our Special Event meet on Thursday 1st March was cancelled due to the weather conditions. See facebook as we are now holding our special event meet at our next meet on Thursday 5th April.
Lynsey our Newsletter Editor has a few copies left of the KVWK Calendar 2018 which features photographs of members vehicles from various events throughout last year and a few from previous years. Calendars are now £4 each.
All members should receive a email newsletter from the club. If you haven’t received this please get in touch with Lynsey our Newsletter Editor who will add you to the list.

News on the committee for 2018. Unfortunately Lisa Gordon our Show Co-coordinator has stepped down for her new venture, as she has opened a florist shop. https://www.thebigginhillflorist.co.uk/ We would like to wish her well in her new shop and thank her for all her hard work that she has put into the club in the past years. The Chairman has now appointed Robin Earle as our new Show Co-coordinator and we would like to wish him the best for the season.

Website has been updated in the Gallery with the two latest events held by the club.
Big thanks to Lee Grover who organised the KVWK Quiz Night on 11th November held at Chatham Town FC club bar. Photos added to the gallery. It was great to see so many members coming along and Lee did a fantastic job as quiz master.
Another fantastic night of the year that everyone looks forward to is the annual KVWK Christmas Party. Held again at The Moat in Wrotham. Big thank you to Stuart Doswell for organising this festive night out. And we have to mention Lee again who organised the big raffle and auction with so many great prizes donated from club members and shows for ticket entrances.
We would also like to thank all the committee members of 2017 who during the year also did their part for the club, doing all their duties to make this such a successful club. This is of course all done in their free time. Big applaud to them !!!!
Everyone is looking forward to another successful year being part of the Kentish V-Dub Klub 2018

The Annual AGM took place yesterday and the minutes and information will be posted soon.
The events page has been updated with the latest on what the club are up to and a few of the Show dates when these are made available have been posted. A selection of photos have been added to the gallery of our own events and shows we have visited as a club.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our first KVWK Quiz Night on Saturday 11th November. All details can be found on our facebook page. Good luck all.

The website has been updated today to contain the latest events. Lee Grover will be organising other small events whilst the festival season is over which we will keep you posted on fb with dates.
Next meeting on 2nd November will also be the AGM. The agenda as follows:
- Opening by Chairman
- Statement of Accounts
- Report of events
- Elect committee members
- Set subscriptions for next year
- Decide on any resolutions which may be duly submitted to the meeting prior to the event.
Please let the Chairman know if you do wish anything specific brought up 7 days prior to the meeting.
The club would like to thank everyone who has donated prizes for the 25th Anniversary Christmas Raffle. A big thank you to Lee Grover who has organised this and if you wish to buy tickets. Please contact Lee via messenger on fb. Tickets are £1 a strip, or 3 for £2, or £5 for 7 strips. You will be able to get tickets from Lee at the meet on 2nd November.

Great number of the club members attended recently Busfest, Grill and Chill. The club has had a fantastic year with lots of new members and lots of adventures together. I am sure everyone in the club are looking forward to 2018.
Fear not the year is not over and another date for the diary is the KVWK Christmas Party. Tickets are £30 a person which includes a 3 course meal and DJ til midnight. If you wish to attend this club members must visit the KVWK fb page for details and get your name down ASAP.

Fun times have been had recently from the club who have attended together as club camping – Chilli Farm, Volkesweald and Whitenoise.
Future events coming up are Busfest and Grill and Chill. So far its been a fantastic year for the club.

Yesterday was our annual KVWK Cruise and BBQ. Another successful KVWK club members event. Thanks to Stuart Doswell who puts a lot of handwork into this event without him this event just wouldn’t be the same. I hope our members didn’t get sun burnt. And a big thank you to you too the members. Without you it wouldn’t be as special. Food, Friends and Plenty of Fun !!!!

The club attended Elemental VW #11 Show at Crouch Valley Showground, Rayleigh, Essex over the weekend of April 8th. It was a great first weekend festival to start the year and what fab weather we had. Many thanks for the organisers. Thanks to our members to for a really enjoyable weekend.

It was great to get the families and kids together for a entertaining evening. I hope no one has any aches and pains today!!
We would like to give a big thank you to Chatham Ski & Snowboard Centre for a great evening of Skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing. And a special thank you to James Tank for organising us.
Great fun for all plus a few of our members who attended that evening received their free 25th year Kentish V-Dub Klub can Koozie. Don’t worry they will be available at the next meet. If you require any extras they are £1.50. Remember they are limited edition 25 year anniversary.

Updates made on the website as the Fish and Chip Run date has now been finalised for May. All club members need to do now is go on the members fb page and let the club know whose coming along.
Please note also that the meeting on the 2nd March is now a member event day for a change. So do not head for Newham Court Inn or you will be on your own. If you wish to join the club please see the Membership page. So if your a member again see the members fb page with details regarding the event on the 2nd March.
So if your not a member then get joining your missing out on a year of adventures.

First meet of the year is Thursday 5th January 2017, 19:30 at Newnham Court Inn, Bearsted Rd, Weavering, Maidstone ME14 5LH. If you want to bring your membership along its £15 and new members can sign up. The club normally meet just inside the main entrance on the left hand side of the pub. We look forward to greeting and meeting any new members for 2017.

AGM Meeting was held and the committe elected for 2017 is as follows. Brian Binns – Chairman, Phil Caxton – Vicechairman, Peter Simpson, Membership Secretary, Dave Tye – Treasurer, Stuart Doswell and Edward Trimmer – Club Co-ordinator, Lisa Gordon and Lee Grover, Show Co-ordinator, Lynsey Nardini – Newsletter Editor and Clare Denness – Webmistress.
It was agreed that club membership should rise from £10 to £15 for 2017 majority vote.for carried.
